Leave Dawn Anderson alone in a room with some glue, her thoughts and a few remnants of pop culture, and she'll come out with something you'll want to hang in your home. Her multi-media crafts are beautiful works of art, but stand on their own as functional items that can put a little bit of fun back into your day. Anderson founded Lark Studio in 2003, as a practical outlet for the handmade and unique items she had enjoyed making for years. While her varied creations may not seem to share a common thread, all of her work is unified with an eco-consciousness and remarkable attention to detail that her customers have come to expect. She began selling her items on the streets of Richmond and eventually found like-minded individuals, which led to her creating the Richmond Craft Mafia in 2005. Dawn also believes in giving back to the craft community she has come to love. In 2006 she launched indiecraftshows.com, a user-driven web resource for indie friendly venues. Dawn continues to inspire the love of craft in others by hosting crafting events and teaching craft classes throughout the Richmond area. Want to know more about Dawn Anderson?
